Solvents Safety Training
Solvents are used in every workplace to some extent or other. They are used to clean, dilute, purify and in manufacturing, to produce or aid in the production of products. Many solvents are also hazardous to human health. Obviously the range of hazards varies greatly.
Solvents can damage the eyes and ears, lead to respiratory problems, cause cancer and fatalities. Health effects can be both acute and chronic. Acute effects happen during or immediately after the time of exposure. Chronic effects build up over time with repeated exposure.
